How Does Lawn Aeration Work?

  1. A lawn that has not been aerated may have tight, compacted soil affecting the health of the grass.
  2. Lawn aeration punches holes in the lawn, removing small plugs, or cores, of soil and thatch. These cores are about the size of your little finger and are pulled about every six inches.
  3. This loosens the soil, allowing water and fertilzer to reach the roots more efficiently, promoting deeper and healthier root systems and greener, more disease-resistant grass.
